"I've had a really hard time losing weight since I turned 30 (almost 2 years ago), and while I still have 20-ish pounds to go until my goal, I'm happy with the progress that I've made with this 6 week challenge.
I lost 8 lbs and 4 1/2 inches from my waist. The best part, is that I feel like this is a sustainable way of eating, since nothing is "off-limits." Plus, I don't crave as much sugar and junk foods as I did before!
I'm proud that I was able to go on a business trip, to birthday parties, and other food-centered gatherings and keep my eating under control, while still enjoying myself!"
"I feel so vulnerable posting these, lol. But here it is! There was a time in my life where I truly believed I could not eat more than 1500 calories if I wanted to maintain my weight.
Now, I’m eating close to 1800 and still ever so slowly losing. Macros are life! During the challenge I...
-lost three pounds.
-lost 1.5% body fat.
-shaved almost a minute off my average running time.
-almost got my first pull up!
-built a healthy relationship with food.
-stopped guilting myself every time I went off plan.
-made so many friends in this group!"
"The beginning of this year I was down about 80 pounds and just kept kind of going back and forth with the same few pounds, I was stuck.
I joined the march 12th challenge, and being consistent with numbers that were tailored to me has been AWESOME! I’ve lost 12 pounds during this challenge so far. I’m so close to my 100 pound goal right now I can’t believe it! I am going to cry happy tears the day I step on the scale and see that number!
I’m so happy to have found macros and this group. This is something that is definitely sustainable for life!"
Fueling Your Body!
"I started counting macros February 19th, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done!!! Over the course of 6 weeks, I’ve learned to fuel my body properly and not be scared of carbs!
I do Crossfit 5 days/week and feel fit, but I wanted to LOOK more fit! I finally feel leaner and that my muscles are starting to show!
I’m a macro counter for life!
P.S.- I love this group so much"
"I started at 1500 calories on the left, and now in week 6 of my reversal and at 1900 calories. It’s been scary and exciting but most of all shocking in terms of results.
I didn’t have much I wanted to lose, but my body seems to know exactly what to do with those extra carbs, and helped me out in the gym and putting on just a shade of a lower abs! So excited to finish it out just in time to settle in for fall when I have more diet flexibility I really want it!"
Progress Over Perfection.
"Life got in the way during this challenge, and I let myself slack a bit too much. I didn’t make the goals I had set for myself at the beginning but I still had progress, I still changed the way I ate and my relationship with food.
After sending my before and after to my friend and she virtually smacked me upside the head for not thinking I did great. I realized I actually did pretty freaking good and should be proud of myself!
So even though I’m still nowhere close to where I want to be- I’m closer than I was before and on my way."
Finding True Balance.
"I don’t even know where to start. I’m proud to share these photos and of the way they reflect the 7 pounds I’ve lost in the last six weeks, but I’m even more proud of all the NSV (non-scale victories) I’ve had along the way.
I’m so grateful for the sustainable nature of macros - how it fits any life style, how I can be flexible and adapt, how I can plan to make good choices, how there is balance in my diet and variety to my menus.
HUGE thank you to this group and our coaches - I may be done with the six week challenge but #macrosforlife!!!"
